About us

PVA Books, established in 2015, is a Dublin- and Berlin-based publisher specialising in literary non-fiction. We aim to publish emerging and established voices, and to produce beautifully designed books.

Our projects are initiated by invitation and through open submission. We are committed to publishing a diverse programme, to develop and create a unique range of voices.

Audience engagement is important to us: we are committed to reaching new readers and writers through our programme of workshops, discussions, and collaboration with other organisations and institutions.

PVA Books is edited by Adrian Duncan, Niamh Dunphy, and Nathan O’Donnell, with editorial assistance from Jack Delaney. We also publish the visual culture and contemporary art journal Paper Visual Art Journal, which was established in 2009.

PVA is funded by the Arts Council.
